About Kelley Martin
Dr. Kelley Martin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in child/adolescent mental health and IDD. She has a passion for meeting people where they are, regardless of circumstance. With a focus on public health and prevention, she is committed to reducing barriers and improving collaboration, efficiency, and quality of care across the healthcare system. Her interests are centered on the intersection of disability, mental health, and caregiver/family systems with social determinants of health and resilience. She is a pragmatic and resourceful servant leader with a proven track record for building and nurturing relationships with community partners and stakeholders, creating and communicating data analysis tools and results, and improving staff engagement, workflows, and clinical outcomes. The IDD Complex Coordination Support Unit collaborates with multiple state and local agencies and programs to prevent institutionalization and assist with institution-to-community transitions for adults and youth with IDD and complex needs across Texas. We provide clinical consultation, technical assistance, administer and monitor all aspects of two MFPD funded programs (Enhanced Community Coordination and Transition Support Teams), and assist local IDD authorities while monitoring the health and safety of people with IDD impacted by regulatory concerns, ANE, and provider closures. We work closely with Behavioral Health Services, SSLCs, State Hospitals, DFPS, Criminal Justice, LIDDAs, and LMHAs to support people with IDD as well as their families and support systems by breaking down silos, removing barriers, providing education and clinical insight, making data-informed individual and program level decisions, and remaining steadfastly committed to the belief that all people deserve a happy, healthy, and dignified life.
