ABOUT KELLEAGH ALEXANDER

Experienced tourism leader with a proven track record of strengthening visitor experiences and driving economic growth in the tourism and hospitality sector. As the Director of Experience Development for Ottawa Tourism, I lead initiatives to enhance Ottawa’s appeal as a destination while aligning with our organizations Destination Stewardship Plan. Key projects include downtown revitalization, our Destination Development Fund, investment attraction, accessible and inclusive tourism development, and advancing the city’s nightlife economy. Previously, I served as Tourism Development Manager for Southwestern Ontario\'s Regional Tourism Organization and worked extensively in the Indigenous tourism and hospitality sector across Alberta and Southern Ontario, supporting First Nation and Métis communities. I’ve successfully developed tourism strategies, increased sales, and fostered sustainable growth for businesses and destinations. Recognized as a Kostuch Media Ltd. Canada Top 30-under-30 honouree in 2023, I am passionate about driving meaningful collaborations, promoting inclusivity, and creating memorable experiences that resonate with visitors and the local community. My experience extends to serving on various advisory groups, including the Program Advisory Committees for Lambton College and Fanshawe College, the Ontario Tourism SkillsNet working group, and the Board of Directors for The Bank Theatre. Currently, I contribute to Ottawa’s tourism ecosystem as a member of the City of Ottawa’s Nightlife Council, focusing on initiatives that amplify the city’s vibrant evening economy.
