ABOUT KELLAN CARR

Most recently I have been leading a developer tools group focused on building, updating, and maintaining internal tools and services used by other ABK development teams. This has given me exposure to private and public cloud (OpenStack and Google Cloud), budgeting for larger groups, and guiding others in evolving mission critical services and codebases while maintaining uptime requirements and partner satisfaction.Prior to my time as a lead developer, I have over 10 years of experience working in Build and Release automation within the game industry. I deeply enjoy supporting developers to make their workflows more efficient and allow them to spend more time on the nuts and bolts of their roles and much less time fighting internal blockages and systems. I see the role as an amplifier - something that exists to ensure the creativity and brilliance of my colleagues shines through. I spend time learning about best practices within and outside of the industry to maximize my ability to offer a custom, best case for the teams I serve. I believe in open honesty, teaching the people around me the things I know, and trying to learn everything I can from them about their roles, wants and needs. I believe my strengths to be adaptability, persistence, passion for learning, and the ability to envision and integrate disparate systems, tactics, and processes into a cohesive whole.
