I am an enthusiastic mechanical engineer with many years of combined experience in Maintenance, Reliability, Supervision, and Management. I have experience in various different industries, processes, and equipment; pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, oriented poly propylene films, large chemical (PSM), wood products, and reliability consulting. One of my greatest strengths is the understanding why and how equipment fails. With this knowledge, equipment defects or failures that cause process downtime and quality issues can be corrected, minimized, reduced, or entirely eliminated. I place strong emphasis on technical solutions and the priceless value of people at all levels in an organization. I have a proven track record of improving manufacturing equipment reliability, increasing uptime, and defect elimination. I am self-motivated and committed to making a positive difference in the organization. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have over 11 years of experience in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry. I am proficient in plant system operation and maintenance, system monitoring/trending, root cause analysis techniques, scheduling of maintenance activities and systemic troubleshooting. I have high levels of experience in all of the Predictive Maintenance technologies and effective PM’s. I am a certified Level I vibration analyst, Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA and RCFA trainer by the Reliability Center. I have had Level I infrared thermography training through the Infrared Training Center. I am CMRP certified (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) through the SMRP (Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals). In addition, I have an Ultrasound Level I certification with many hours of practitioner experience.    Identify all new project equipment for each assigned project through the creation of a CMMS based equipment catalog. Enroll new equipment in the SAP CMMS system through the creation of SAP Functional Locations. Rank each new equipment asset for criticality. Identify any new equipment requiring state/regulatory inspections and coordinate their initial inspections. Create Maintenance Strategies for all new project equipment via the creation of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Activities. Maintenance strategy development include the consideration of typical failure modes with input from area maintenance technicians. Identify max/min spare parts for all new equipment assets and create equipment material BOMs for spare parts. Create and execute SAP Gui Scripting for efficient SAP transactional data queries and data entry using Excel VBA. Facilitate changes to equipment/instrument catalogs as required. Understand and meet all project schedules to prevent equipment validation process delays. Conduct instrument criticality/classification meetings with client engineers/managers to prioritize instrument calibrations for all project instruments. Collect and document all instrument information for each new project instrument through P & ID reviews/takeoffs and drawing revisions, OEM supplied instrument data, and field walkdowns. Enroll all new instruments in the SAP CMMS system through the calibration process and calibration PM creation. Create and maintain project tracking workbooks for each new capital project also capturing the document approval process for each step. Provide weekly updates to project team members through normally scheduled meetings or ad/hoc requests.
