Welcome to my LinkedIn! I am proud graduate of a Historically Black College and University by the name of Elizabeth City State University. There, I graduated with honors, a private pilot’s license, and a BS in Aviation Science. During my time at ECSU, I was awarded to participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals where I spent one year abroad in Germany to learn the culture, language, attend university, live with host families, and share my perspective of America. I am currently employed as a Manager of Ramp and Operations for Southwest Airlines in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I have been in my role for 4 years and with the Company for 6 years. During my tenure at Southwest, I have worked and lead in multiple departments and gained a holistic view of our industry and Company. Some notable accomplishments that I have achieved at Southwest include but not limited to graduating from the Emerging Leadership Development Program, opening the MIA location for Southwest in 2020, opening an administrative office at FLL that services 400+ Employees, managing extended time off programs during the pandemic to decrease our labor footprint, and being award the 2021 President’s Award at Southwest.Above all, I characterize myself as a servant leader that is ambitious, well-respected, and driven with a “make ship happen” attitude. I am very competent in change management, managing multiple projects at once, collective bargaining agreements, driving performance, being keen to leading a multicultural team, and being fiscally responsible to staffing and project budgets. As a Leader, I believe that you must put your Team first, invest in their growth, hold them accountable to goals, be understanding, fair, consistent, and most importantly have fun with them.    In this role, I support a host of Southwest cities in administering the Collective Bargaining Agreements for Ground Operations. I am versed in two CBAs and also work with Union Representatives in finding resolutions that are acceptable for the Union and Company in settling grievances that cannot be settled locally.
