As the Chief Staff Executive of the San Mateo County Medical Association, my role is to manage and oversee all organizational activities and provide leadership continuity and guidance to the volunteer Board of Directors. I work directly with the SMCMA President, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors to oversee areas of fiscal and managerial responsibility as directed by the strategic plan and annual budget. Provide direction and implementation of short and long term plans to increase membership and external program finding in order to meet organizational goals. Coordinate all political action and advocacy activities in conjunction with SMCMA Physician leadership, the California Medical Association and political action committees. Serves as the liaison between the organization and the public at large, including building and maintaining communication with political, economic, and affiliated organizations in the county and throughout the state of CA.
