About Keith Kaufman

Knowledgeable, practical experience for engineering and project tasks in the power, renewable energy, and related industries with a focus on analysis, design, problem solving, and performance improvement. My background is in the application of advanced computational techniques to complex engineering equipment and systems for waste heat recovery, waste to energy, fossil power generation, and environmental equipment. Throughout my career, I have applied high-end analysis tools for design improvement and verification as well as to aid with root cause analysis. Across 28 years of comprehensive experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and combustion modeling, I have focused on using these tools to improve understanding of the equipment and its performance, yielding better designs and operation. My industry emphasis has been in the application of these tools in areas of the power and process industries, including combine cycle power plants, waste heat boilers, heat exchangers, utility boilers and combustion equipment. In three companies, I introduced and developed key analytical resources and capabilities to assist in engineering design and root cause analysis. Recent positions have focused on engineering management, supporting development and application these analytical tools within companies for equipment and facility design.
