About Keithan Rogers

Candid, straightforward and experienced leader of multi-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations. Extensive experience training, leading, managing projects and programs, coaching, mentoring, and guiding organizations through change. Well versed in human relations, both organizationally and client facing. I am a critical thinker, chronically curious, and hopefully will never be put in a position where I can\'t learn something new. I am a generalist with deep expertise in a handful of fields, and a unique ability to pick up additional skills, technical or nontechnical remarkably fast. I currently hold a DOE Q with SCI and CI Poly, AND a DoD TS with SCI. I have spent the past 8 years as a national security specialist and team leader at a National Laboratory, working on issues like emerging technology, CBRNE security, special programs, emergency management, and corporate security. I have managed projects across the country with multiple teams at multiple sites, I\'ve helped stand up and manage an employee resource group, I\'ve been asked to attend meetings with the White House Office of Science and Technology, I\'ve hosted the former Secretary of Defense, and I have received accolades for being able to understand and translate technical information into simplified terms for various audiences. I am also a physical security and insider threat subject matter expert, and have been published in the journal of international nuclear security. For the past 20 years I have been serving in the Washington Army National Guard, with 12 of those years being activated in some manner. I am currently a 1SG (Director or Chief of Operations) for a military intelligence company with 131 intelligence professionals and 28 UAS/cUAS operators and will soon be taking over an intelligence section for an information operations group. In this role I have served with 10th Special Forces Group, I have deployed to Ukraine and Iraq multiple times, have supported other regions remotely, and have deployed many times to conduct Defense Support to Civil Authorities as an operations chief, liaison officer, and many other roles. I have been recognized by the NATO Allied Commander, the Head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and many other people. I also speak Russian and Chinese, though admittedly they are getting rusty. At one point I had an ILR 2+2+2 in Russian and a 3 3 2 in Chinese. My role for the majority of my career was a human intelligence collector, where I focused on knowing everything about people and how to talk to them.

I lead a team of multi-disciplinary scientists and senior advisors who are focused on DHS Science and Technology and Emergency Management. Additionally, I am responsible for advising the executive leadership for security concerns regarding 400+ foreign trips per month by employees, advising project teams on information security and classification program compliance, managing projects for DOE Office of International Nuclear Security and DTRA Office of Chemical Security Elimination. I additionally support State Department training on WMD security as needed. Team lead is a portion of my role, the larger portion is focused on identifying opportunities for organizational growth, for working with sales teams and technical teams to deliver exceptional products to sponsors, and to engage sponsors on all matters relating to projects.
