As a Risk & Loss Prevention Leader at Arctic Co-op Ltd, I oversee risk mitigation, loss prevention, and insurance strategies across a multi-unit retail network. My role is focused on protecting people, assets, and business operations through proactive risk management, safety initiatives, and investigative strategies.I lead efforts in property risk mitigation, theft prevention, workplace safety, and insurance program optimization, working closely with Co-op operators, internal stakeholders, insurers, and brokers to develop and implement best practices. This includes: • Risk Identification & Mitigation – Assessing vulnerabilities related to fire, crime, liability, and operational risks, ensuring corrective actions are taken. • Loss Prevention & Investigations – Implementing CCTV monitoring, theft deterrence programs, fraud investigations, and financial controls to minimize shrink and fraud exposure. • Insurance & Compliance – Managing insurance policies, claims processes, and coverage assessments, ensuring Co-ops meet industry standards and insurer requirements. • Operational Safety & Training – Driving awareness through training, audits, and compliance programs, equipping Co-op teams with the tools to maintain a safe and secure environment. • Strategic Partnerships & Reporting – Collaborating with brokers, insurers, and leadership teams to enhance risk awareness, policy adherence, and proactive decision-making.By combining data-driven risk assessment, hands-on leadership, and collaborative problem-solving, I support the Arctic Co-op network in reducing losses, improving safety, and ensuring long-term business resilience.
