Serves as the Telecommunications Officer, for the 21st TSC G6 Information Services Branch, with responsibility for the development, acquisition and implementation of telecommunications requirements. Serves as the primary point of contact with customers throughout the 21st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) to provide available telephone services that include Mobile Radio Telephone (MRT), and commercial leased lines. Provides direct technical systems support for the automated call distribution system, analog and digital telephones, radio and cellular telephones, mobile computer devices, iPhones secure and non secure. Coordinates with USAREUR-AF G6, 2nd Tactical Signal Brigade, Vodafone, TELECOM, DISA, and commercial vendors, to identify telecommunication problems with sufficient detail to allow analysis and appropriate correction to equipment or circuits. Develops policy and procedures for the command regarding all telephone communications and is responsible for the monitoring, enforcement, and reporting of abuse or misuse of those systems.Participates in panels, committees, working groups, conferences, briefings, and other planning activities involving telecommunication requirements. Maintains an operational readiness on a variety of specialized communications systems such as office automation networks satellite and video telecommunications and digital networks; analyzing and resolving difficult and complex telecommunications problems; and evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements.
