Performing Human Factors Engineering (HFE) design activities: Operating Experience Review (OER), Function Analysis and Task Analysis ensuring appropriate functional allocations and achievable tasks, Verification and Validation development and implementation, user walkthroughs, etc. for nuclear systems and facilities. • Developing and providing input to engineering documentation: HFE Program Plans (HFEPP), HFE Verification and Validation Plans, HFE Summary Reports (HFESR), design guides / requirements / descriptions documents, engineering drawings, and conceptual and detailed design packages.• Performing HFE design activities for: new systems and modifications to Human System Interfaces (HSIs)(for Main Control Rooms, field control panels, process equipment, and custom tooling for nuclear operations), hot-cell process equipment and layout, active exhaust ventilation, waste processing systems and other safety related systems in nuclear facilities.• Participating as the HFE Subject Matter Expert in: Design Reviews, HF Validations, Technical document reviews, Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) and Constructibility, Operability, Maintainability, Safety (COMS) workshops.• Technical lead on a winning proposal for an HF Blanket Service contract where our company was suspected to be the most expensive bidder.
