ABOUT KEITH NICKLIN
Apprenticed at Triumph motors between 1978 and 1982 followed by 40 years of design experience with many of the leading OEM\'S and tier one suppliers on 3 continents. Experience in all disciplines of vehicle design from Studio support through to Assembly line vehicle launch and running changes on production line vehicles. With experience in BIW, Interior and Exterior trim, Seating, vehicle Integration and Safety systems on a wide range of differing projects I have gained an extremely broad knowledge of the complete vehicle enabling me to design with an open mind to the requirements of other departments with the capability to take on a project in any of these disciplines. My experience with Vehicle launch, Plant Vehicle and cost reduction teams has made me aware that we must design the product considering the production process and costs at all times. Equipped with good communication, presentation, leadership and mentoring skills gained from managing project teams with varying experience levels. Able to work in a multi-racial and multi-cultural environment. Twenty years of CAD experience, most recently 7 years CATIA V5 and previously 6 years UG NX. Proficient in Surface and Solid modeling techniques. Experience with UGS Teamcenter. Ford WERS, and VW KVS.
