ABOUT KEITH NEWCOMER
I am a proven problem solver and critical thinker when it comes to process improvement. I have spent the first half of my career at Xerox working with sales or direct customers/Dealers in regard to processing and improving transactions, interactions, processes, and flow when dealing with a specific activity. Over my first years, between Xerox and General Electric, I led or participated on 10+ process improvement projects from improving employee productivity to reducing time spent on a process. Currently, I am a Buyer/Planner Manager in Xerox Global Supply Chain, Planning Color and Mono A3 multi-function copiers, along with some High Color presses and accessories. This includes key functions of providing forecasts to suppliers, producing purchase orders, working with Vendor Managed Inventory, warehousing, communicating supply levels to sales, and inventory outlook to Sr Management.I recently was promoted to a Manager level, working with five other planners/buyers, for the entire Xerox equipment portfolio for the Western Hemisphere. We work closely to strike a balance between inventory levels and keeping our level of service that drives equipment revenue for Xerox.Recently, I worked with a Xerox Conduent call center team in Manila, Philippines to increase meter collection through data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Access, developing call strategies, assisting with auditing, training, and creating new processes for the team. In addition, I also worked with our billing organization in Guatemala City to improve communication between their team and the team in Manila, while also assisting the Guatemala billers with their meter related processes. This led to significant savings via reduced estimates, reduced need for calls, increased revenue in this post sales space, and reduced need for credits or revenue reversals due to wrong estimates.I finished my Xerox Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in February 2017, by completing 45 hours of online training, 35 hours of classroom and simulation training, Six Sigma Lunch and Learns, and leading a DMAIC process improvement project. More recently, I have started to study SAP 4/HANA and SAP Ariba processes. SAP offers great courses on supply chain related processes and what to expect during Intergration and change over to SAP Supply Chain.Specialties: Cash Management, Collections, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, product and part management, transportation, with some exposure to reverse logistics, warehousing, and distribution centers
