ABOUT KEITH MILLER

Keith Miller started his career in the Nuclear Industry as an electrical engineering apprentice. Following initially working in electrical maintenance at the Steam Generating Heavy Water Reactor he moved into operations taking up a post with responsibilities for emergency supplies, reactor fuel and pond operations. In 1990 became occupied with the supervision, then management, of SGHWR decommissioning works. During this time was closely involved with the transfer of spent fuel to Sellafield and the clean up of the fuel and reactor suppression ponds. Project managed the final de-planting, decontamination and draining of the pond systems. In 1997 joined Nuvia Ltd as Operations and Engineering Manager for the Winfrith Active Handling Facility and following three years of facility operations project managed the decommissioning of the facility. During this time also project managed the establishment of the Winfrith NORM Decontamination Facility to service the oil an gas industry. In 2005 moved into the role of Senior Project Manager for the SGHWR Secondary Containment Decommissioning Project.Following the SGHWR Project Keith returned to complete final phase of the Active Handling Facilities land remediation.In 2007 Keith became Senior Project Manager for the Winfrith Sludge Treatment and Encapsulation Plant.In May 2010 managed the Decommissioning and Demolition of a Research Laboratory.Keith joined BD Nuclear in 2012 as BDM strengthened the companies infrastructure; preparing the business for expansion and positioning for future opportunities and securing new works.In November 2013 Keith joined NSG and is currently Programme Manager for NSG Defence.
