About Keith Johansen
Looking for your team’s next destination for an offsite corporate retreat people actually want to come to? Or are you planning a group event, family reunion, bachelor party, or girls’ getaway and are looking for a location that combines adventure with serenity? I’m Keith, and I own Alaska Kenai Adventures, located on the world-famous Kenai River in Soldotna AK. But that’s not the only hat I wear! I have been involved with the HVAC industry since high school and addicted to fishing since age 5, when I caught my first Rainbow trout in Cottage Lake! In 2004 my business partner Derek and I took over my dad’s HVAC company, Johansen Mechanical, Inc.(JMI), where our motto is Work Hard, Play Hard, and Give Back! Along with HVAC, JMI also has a Custom Metals section to our business, creating custom-designed projects, including \"artwork\" for our clients. Using our state-of-the-art fiber laser cutting machine, JMI can fabricate \"anything made from metal\"(including brass, bronze, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, corten, cold & hot rolled steel, blackened & powder coated).My current role is to help manage, market, and promote JMI to be recognized as an industry leader, and elite performer in Custom Metals, Mechanical/HVAC Construction, & HVAC/R Service industry.It\'s also very important in our company culture to make a difference in our community by giving back with time, talents, and resources to support multiple organizations, especially those focusing on kids and families.Along with spending time with my family, fishing and being outdoors are my passions! I spent a lot of time hiking with friends in the scenic Enchantment’s Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth, WA (before permits were required), and successfully climbed Mt St Helens, and Mt Rainier.
