ABOUT KEITH HORE

I started my career as an electrician in 1996 and qualifying as an electrician with merit from Solas. I have over 27 years experience in the electrical industry, covering all aspects of the trade from domestic, commercial and industrial installations and maintenance. I worked as an Inspector for Safe Electric / RECI for 3 years and was responsible for carrying out audits and inspections on over 340 electrical contractor\'s annually with a further 40 follow up and unannounced inspections to ensure compliance with the Wiring rules, Technical Guidance Documents TGD, and advising electrical contractors on I.S 3218 fire alarm and I.S 3217 Emergency lighting and Building Control Amended Regulations BCAR. I left my position with Safe Electric to take up my current role as a Construction and ME Quality Manager for Mercury Engineering. I recently recieved a distinction in a higher certificate in electrical services engineering from DIT Kevin\'s street, and I have also received 1.1 Degree in electrical services engineering with distinction from TU Dublin and graduated in 2021. I am member of the NSAI TC 10 committee and have recently been appointed as a member and consultant for the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU)expert electrical panel for foreign trades. During the recent Covid pandemic I completed a course and received an award as an Internal Auditor for IS 9001 Quality Management Systems. As part of my CPD I have recently completed level 6 in Training and Evaluation and I received a merit for all my hard work and effort. I have successfully completed LV AP course with Schneider and I am a certified Authorised Person for LV Installations. In my current role I am a Group support function for Electrical Safety and Quality for all projects from Data Centres, Healthcare and the Pharma industry.
