ABOUT KEITH HELLER

I am Chairman of Helrom, a pioneering rail freight and technology company based in Frankfurt, Germany. With over 40 years of experience in transportation, logistics, and mobility, I have held pivotal roles in major rail freight companies across North America and Europe. Notably, I led the Eastern Region of the Canadian National Railway and served as CEO of English Welsh & Scottish Railway, eventually becoming the co-chairman of DB Schenker Rail, overseeing operations across Great Britain, France, Spain, and Portugal. In 2018, I co-founded Helrom with Roman Noack, the company’s CEO, whose expertise and shared vision have been instrumental in our mission to address a fundamental gap in the transportation industry. After many years of experience in the European rail transport sector, it became clear to me that no one had developed a solution to fundamentally shift road to rail in Europe. Without this shift, high carbon emissions and major social negative impacts would persist. This open question needed to be solved, and this challenge became the driving motivation behind Helrom. At Helrom, we offer a groundbreaking solution that combines road and rail transport without the need for expensive special terminals. Our integrated service reduces greenhouse gas emissions and traffic congestion while maintaining the flexibility, reliability, and cost efficiency of road transport. With my extensive experience, I aim to support Helrom in creating a sustainable future for freight transportation.
