I advise on:• fund formation issues, advisory matters, reorganisations, succession planning and liquidity event planning for sponsors, asset and wealth managers and others, including Greater Pacific Capital, an emerging climate solutions manager and an emerging secondaries manager, a blue chip US bank on the prospective formation of a high growth investment fund, the Ukraine Ministry of Economy on the establishment of the Ukraine Development Fund, and Fidelity International Limited on the demerger and spin-out of its ‘Eight Roads’ venture capital investment division• GP-led and LP-led secondaries mandates, including for Circularis Partners (in connection with a continuation vehicle for former TPG-managed assets), CDPQ, G4S and Ferguson• a wide range of investments and co-investments into top tier private equity, real estate, infrastructure and credit funds, including for sovereign wealth funds, HSBC, Macquarie (the Australia-headquartered sponsor) and Barings (the global financial institution) • fund of one and related platform investment arrangements, across a range of investment sectors, including for AIIB, RBC, APG and CPPIB • real estate and infrastructure joint ventures, including CPPIB on the establishment of a JV with Round Hill Capital, which will seek to acquire a European student accommodation portfolio of up to €1bn initially (with scope to increase further over time), GIC (the Singaporean sovereign wealth fund) on the extension of its UK real estate JV with Unite Student (a listed UK manager and developer of student accommodation) and others• GP stake and asset manager M&A mandates, including M&G Investments on its acquisition of P Capital Partners (PCP), General Atlantic on its acquisitions of stakes in SDCL and Partners Capital, Keppel Corporation on its agreement to acquire the real estate investment manager Aermont, and Octopus Energy on its acquisition of Octopus Energy Generation

ABOUT KEITH CHAPMAN
I play a leading role in Freshfields\' private funds and secondaries practice, advising sponsor and investor clients on transactional, advisory and structuring matters. Alongside my funds work, I advise financial institutions, multi-national corporates and others across the full spectrum of the firm\'s corporate work, with deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations and restructurings, equity capital markets and general corporate advisory matters. I also maintain an active pro bono practice, advising a range of charities including Save the Children International, Scope and Safe Ukraine 2030.Currently based in London, I have worked out of the firm’s Dubai office, and on secondment with Hewlett-Packard (in Geneva) running their EMEA M&A work.
