About Keith Cera

Keith is currently Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Deputy Chief Engineer, E-7 Korea. He has also served as Chief Engineer for Japan & Saudi Arabia Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) during Development, Production, Modification, and Delivery. Before becoming Chief Engineer, Keith was Mission Systems Capability Leader for Aircraft Modifications and Modernization (AMM) business centered in Oklahoma City, Ok. Prior assignments include ASC2 Mission Systems Senior Manager (supporting US, Japan, Saudi, NATO, & UK), B-1 Bomber Systems Engineering & Avionics Manager, BDS Development Missions Systems SEIT skill team leader for AMM, Technical Lead for B-1 Bomber Avionics Flight Software, and Software Engineer. Keith has been actively involved in moving 2 programs to Oklahoma City (ASC2 and B-1 Bomber). He has led diverse teams including Avionics, SEIT, Software, Cyber Security. Keith was Boeing\'s 2018 Great Minds in STEM (GMIS) candidate for Professional Achievement Award - Level II. Before beginning his Boeing career in 2005, Keith also worked on the E-3 (AWACS) as well as within the telecom industry. He brings over 12 years of non-Boeing management experience to the company. Keith\'s educational background includes a BS in Computer Science (4.0/4.0) from the University of Central Oklahoma. He also managed to squeeze 4 years of college into 5 years in order to obtain a BA with a Major in Philosophy and a Minor in Mathematics from Iowa State University. Keith lived in Pierre, SD when Mount St. Helen’s erupted in 1980. He witnessed that ash fall 1350 miles away from the original source. In 1982, Keith attended the MLB American League Playoffs that involved the Milwaukee Brewers and California Angels. He subsequently attended the World Series in Milwaukee against the St. Louis Cardinals. Keith also believes that bacon is a gluten-free super food. He also enjoys volunteering his time to promote all aspects of Shooting Sports as well as Boy Scouts. Keith is also a Knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. He lives in Oklahoma and loves spending time with his wife, children, step-children and 2 grandchildren.
