About Keith Burger
In 1993 I began my professional career at AEP’s Gavin power plant as a field mechanical engineer for the projects construction group. At that time AEP was retrofitting Gavin with a wet flue gas scrubber. After completion of that project I relocated to AEP’s Glen Lyn Plant in Virginia, where I started as a performance engineer. I spent 10 years working at Glen Lyn holding positions of maintenance engineer, quality control manager, long range planner and steam process owner. In 2006 I relocated to AEP’s headquarters in Columbus Ohio to work for the major projects group where I received my PMP certification. Within the major projects group I have been involved with the installation of environmental controls at several plants including Cardinal, Conesville, and Northeastern.

Project manager for Distribution Automation - TexasI am currently over the implementation of the Distribution Automation Circuit Reconfiguration (DACR) upgrades to approximately 280 substations across Texas. These upgrades will drastically reduce customer outage time and include replacement/modernization of breakers, regulators, reclosers, DICM\'s and secure communications through upgraded RTU\'s.
