Lead Protective Services / Police personnel and operations, as well as, health system processes and procedures that control safe and secure environments for the health systems\' employees, patients, visitors, and vendors at many campuses. Lead large group of team members that include: officers, corporals, sergeants, investigator, detective, dispatchers, locksmith, and ID badge techs. Staff of officers includes commissioned police officers, armed officers, and unarmed officers. Work closely with Clinical Staff, Administrative Staff, Human Resources, and Ancillary Services on process improvements for existing sites, as well as, safety and security controls implemented for new/renovated construction/areas. Work closely with Legal Services, Risk Managment, and Service Excellence on investigating and resolving patient visitor issues. Work with Safety and Emergency Preparedness Coordinators to identify high risk areas and create action plans, comply to Joint Commission standards, plan/prepare for disasters, hazardous materials response, and serious incidents. Instruct Active Shooter response and Workplace Violence response courses for the health system and entities.
