I have always had wide-ranging interests. I started college as a music performance major, but switched to History, in which I received a BA, along with certification to teach. However, when I took an accounting class, I excelled at it and loved it, so I decided to go into Finance/Accounting. I became a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and worked in the textiles, plastics, compressor remanufacturing, broadcasting and media services industries. I was Business Manager at Time Warner Cable Media Services for 19 years. I taught business English, finance, and careers services to adult professionals in Beijing, China for 2 1/2 years. For 3 years I worked for the premier training company in Dubai, doing trainings such as Finance for Non-Financial Persons, Budgeting, Project Management, Report Writing, and Business English.
