About Keith B.

As the Chief Security Officer at Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU), I oversee the network and system administration, cybersecurity, and IT management of the campus. I work with a team of IT professionals to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure and services, as well as the compliance with the policies and standards of the university and the industry. Additionally, I oversee physical security, patrolling, access control, and lock maintenance for the campus. I am also an Assistant Professor at SWAU, teaching courses on cybersecurity and information assurance to undergraduate students. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of IT and cybersecurity professionals, and inspiring them to pursue their career goals and passions. Additionally, I obtained a Ph.D. from Capella University in Information Technology with a specialization in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. My research interests include cyber threat hunting, network forensics, and incident response. I hold multiple certifications, such as Extreme Certified Specialist - Policy (ECS-Policy), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-b).
