I have an extensive background in special education policy, comparative international education, and social justice in education. I have experience as an Educational Program Consultant at a state education agency where I contributed to the development of policies that aimed to increase the graduation rates for students with disabilities. In this capacity I also conducted statewide monitoring of federal programs including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). In the higher education space I have worked in teacher preparation programs, assisted with the accreditation processes by developing surveys and writing technical reports.
