ABOUT KEIRA WOODHEAD

Hello! I am a third-year undergraduate student studying mechanical engineering with an interest in biomechanics, human performance, and the effects of neurodegenerative diseases on mobility and quality of life. I am highly involved in the Society of Women Engineers, where I contribute to initiatives that support professional development, outreach, and community building for women in engineering. I am also deeply engaged in the Michelin IGNITE program within the Engineering Innovation Institute, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and industry mentors to solve real-world engineering challenges through innovation and design. In the future, I hope to pursue a PhD in mechanical or biomedical engineering, and conduct research that furthers our understanding of neuromechanical function and disease progression, with the goal of developing technologies and interventions that improve mobility for individuals affected by neurological conditions.
