About Keia Jones
I\'m a Ph.D. student pursuing a dual-degree in Rural Sociology and International Agriculture and Development in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education at Penn State. I’m a sustainability researcher and policy strategist focused on turning complex environmental challenges into actionable solutions. My work bridges global textile supply chains, water governance, and environmental justice, with field research in Bogotá’s leather sector and comparative policy analysis across six countries.I bring a rare combination of policy experience and technical depth: from USDA-ARS Legislative Affairs and appropriations work at Prolegis, to stakeholder-driven environmental projects and data-informed sustainability research at Penn State. I thrive in interdisciplinary spaces where legislation, science, and community priorities meet.As the founder of BluOrb.co, I build tools that make sustainability transparent and accessible for consumers and businesses. My work centers on systems thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and designing solutions that advance accountability, and real-world impact.I’m energized by roles that connect policy, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder engagement — and I’m driven by the belief that better governance and better data create better futures.
