About Kehinde Adebiyi

Kehinde Adebiyi is a Doctoral Scholar in Microbiology at Indiana University, Bloomington, specializing in molecular microbiology, public health, and sustainable development. He was a founding scholar at the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM), where he engaged in interdisciplinary research and innovation in science and technology for African development. His contributions to global health and policy advocacy have earned him recognition as one of the Top 100 BeatingCorona Heroes in Africa and recipient of the Union Bank RISE Award for his role in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.With over seven years of experience in science-driven policymaking and sustainability, Kehinde has been a leading advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He founded one of Nigeria’s first campus-based SDGs groups, which expanded to over ten institutions with thousands of members nationwide. He later led the United Nations Academic Impact Millennium Fellowship, spearheading social impact projects that reached over people globally. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Sustainable Development Goals Awareness Initiative and co-leads Policy Shapers, Africa’s top platform for youth-driven policymaking and governance.Kehinde’s scientific expertise and leadership have been recognized through multiple prestigious fellowships and awards. He was named the 2024 Stier Fellow and Konetska Fellow at Indiana University, in addition to receiving the Gani-Fawenhinmi Award and Jagal Scholar recognition. He has been selected as a YouthLead Ambassador for USAID, an EducationUSA Scholar (U.S. Department of State), and the winner of the CoCreateMyCity Lagos challenge, organized by the Kingdom of the Netherlands Embassy, for his innovative healthcare solutions. His expertise has led to invitations to serve on international advisory committees and to speak at high-level global events, including the United Nations. Kehinde holds a First-Class Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology from Lagos State University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Nigerian University of Technology and Management, where he was awarded the All-Round Excellence Award.Kenny co-authored a book titled ‘Nature Pays Diligence,’ which has helped undergraduates live a successful campus life. He is immensely passionate about sustainable development and desirous to see a planet where everyone lives in peace and shared prosperity.
