As VP of Government Relations and Health Policy, I develop and lead both internal and external strategic state and federal government relations initiatives to support Sentara Healthcare\'s mission and strategic goals. I also lead specific internal communications efforts regarding health policy, and educate elected officials relative to Sentara Healthcare\'s legislative priorities. My job partners with internal clinical, legal and administrative parties to help develop Sentara\'s legislative and regulatory policy positions. One of my top priorities is to support the overall function of Sentara\'s System Development department by assisting the departmental teams responsible for community development, communications and special system projects for System Development.
