Our vision is to bring change to Medway to champion difference, so that it is a place where Black-led arts are flourishing with every resident able to embrace and feel empowered by culture. We know that the arts have the power to change lives. Everyone should have the opportunity to be creative and arts exist for all. Lyrici Arts is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation 2023-26.
ABOUT KEELY A.
I am the Artistic Director of Lyrici Arts- a black led organisation creating theatre and arts programmes that amplify black and diverse stories in Medway. I have a MDrama Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies with a specialism in directing for the stage, and a Masters in Creative Producing for live and theatrical events. I have a passion for artist development, often working with actors, musicians and creatives to build careers, open access to venues and increase performance opportunities. I am an advocate of arts inclusion provision. I have a full understanding of the life cycle of events and also first-hand experience of the administration processes that are needed within an artistic project. Skills • Agency, Mentoring, and Touring representation for artists and shows • Creative Producing: A lead on the theoretical and practical aspects of subsidised and commercial producing for theatrical and music based projects: Marketing, Budgets, Copy writing, Corporate and Subsidised tours, Equity and I.T.C payment rates, Contracts, Grant applications, Venue Negotiations, Live events, Client Liaison. • Client administration: Equity contracts, Artist agreements, Financial invoicing, Maintenance of financial accounts, PR campaigns with written copy, Social media operation to increase brand awareness, Negotiation of venue deals, Travel arrangement bookings. • Events co-ordination: Programming and producing events at venues for charitable, promotional, and themed shows. • Project Management: A lead on creative projects, offering consultation, creative input and project structure. • Theatre Director and workshop facilitator
