I am currently working as a freelance co-researcher for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine for a project called The East London Project. I am helping to collect the second stage of data via follow-up interviews with sex workers in East London to access the levels of policing and violence and whether a decriminalisation model would reduce levels of violence against sex workers and rates of HIV. I am working out of an outreach clinic once a week where I am helping to collect quantitative data in the form of questionnaires which the participants complete on a tablet. I am then facilitating STI tests for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and HIV. I am also part of the overnight fieldwork team in the borough of Newham where we are recruiting new participants and collating baseline data.
