ABOUT KEEGAN SAWYER

I’m a strategic leader and coalition-builder working at the intersection of science, society, and policy. I bring fifteen years of experience designing and leading high-impact programs that inform research funding, guide policy development, and strengthen public trust in science. My work centers on interdisciplinary program leadership, building consensus, translating complex ideas into strategic priorities, and facilitating conversations that align diverse priorities— from communities voices to research institutions to federal and philanthropic partners. I\'ve collaborated with and supported appointment boards, advisory councils, and scientific communities— identifying, recruiting, advising, and managing members while fostering inclusive environments where diverse perspectives can lead to shared understanding, new partnerships, and collective action. What I do well: • Design and lead interdisciplinary programs addressing complex societal challenges • Facilitate concensus among people and institutions with different values, sectors, and expertise. • Collaborate with and support scientific boards, committees, and advisory groups • Design and manage science communication strategies and intiatives • Guide funding strategies, grant processes, and project evaluations Whether I’m advising on research investments, convening expert panels, or helping scientists and institutions better engage with publics, my work is about connecting people, ideas, and resources to catalyze meaningful and lasting impact.
