I find myself fortunate to have been able to make a career out of my primary interest and hobby. I\'ve been writing code since I was about 12 years old, and over the years I\'ve become an expert in systems design, software performance, privacy, and security.Through my career I\'ve been a (failed) co-founder, a researcher, and a software engineer in multiple domains. My approach centres on fostering success through empathy, transparent leadership, and addressing root issues rather than opting for temporary fixes. I\'ve worked on humanitarian technology projects to improve quality of life in the Circumpolar North. I\'ve found myself deep in networking and software security code, and thrived there. I\'ve written low level browser code at Mozilla, and built high-throughput scalable systems at Cash App. While I\'ve worked in many domains, all my work has been tied together by an important belief of mine that technology should work for its users, it must be a force for good, and even in the mundane, ultimately I am thrilled by opportunities to make that a reality.You can find me on the web at: https://keefer.is
