I am a commodity market research engineer with over 20 years of experience. I build and maintain complex fundamental models, track the key factors that drive market changes, and provide timely and actionable insights to internal and external clients. I have done this for global strategy teams, trading houses, asset managers and other clients both internal and external. My career started with analysis of physical energy commodities (natural gas, NGLs, refined products, petrochemical feedstocks), and more recently I have expanded into environmental commodities (RECs, carbon, voluntary and compliance markets). I can do all of the work myself - data engineering, analytical modeling, policy research, analytical writing and presentation - but work best leading a team of data engineers and analysts. I have managed a long list of highly complex technical projects. At IHS Markit I built and maintained models for global supply, demand, trade and pricing of NGLs. At Sol Systems I built and maintain US regional and state level REC market fundamentals and pricing models covering PJM and WECC.I am a skilled presenter, able to distill my research findings into concise and insightful slide decks. I have presented to conferences of hundreds, as well as small teams of executives and subject matter experts.
