ABOUT KECKHUT PHILIPPE

I took advantage of more than 30 years of research experiment in the field of atmospheric physics and its decadal evolution (anhropogenic, solar and volcanoes forcing), used satellite measurements and has contributed to develop atmospheric laser sounding techniques (lidar). Enthusiastic and dynamic, positive and keen to succeed, handling multiple tasks, with initiative and problem solving capacity. Good team worker, with leadership abilities, having good interpersonal skills. I have had the pleasure of serving several research organizations. The most effective monitoring of atmospheric variations of anthropogenic origin is based on ground-space synergy. Networks of observation supersites must be developed including dynamics. The spatial observation strategy needs to be renewed thanks to instrumental miniaturization, reducing costs and development times and increasing revisit time. One answer is based on the constellations of cubesats. Scientific needs must continue to be the common thread. Research and innovation should be based on a stronger public-private partnership. In the current framework, new working methods must be found. There are no unique solutions but a common desire to carry out fundamental and applied research in parallel. The gap between the two is not so large, the tools and the teams can be pooled.
