About David Kebker

Whether it\'s finding repair parts for aircraft WiFi, leading national sourcing events, or shipping equipment to deployed troops I love finding solutions to Supply Chain issues. Throughout my career I\'ve had the opportunity to lead teams and projects in the United States Air Force and at Southwest Airlines. I\'ve found my passion in contract negotiation and leading RFP, RFI, and RFQ sourcing efforts. I currently work at Southwest Airlines as an Enterprise Category Manager. I\'m responsible for securing suppliers to support Southwest Airlines’ Ground Support Equipment, Environmental, Utilities, and Professional Service needs. To accomplish this I lead multiple procurement and sourcing efforts with an emphasis in expanding our small and diverse supplier base. I negotiate contract Terms & Conditions utilizing price and other cost analysis techniques to compare bids, and work with internal/external customers. After the contract is finalized I manage the supplier relationship through Quarterly/Annual Business reviews and as needed check-ins. I hold a Masters degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, a Bachelors degree in Accounting with a Minor in Business Management from Brigham Young University - Idaho, an Effective Negotiation Certificate from Karrass, and have held a Secret Clearance in the US Air Force.
