Primary responsibilities include:(1) to assist the General Counsel, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in the management and supervision of all legal and corporate advisory services to the organization, including to exercise delegated office-wide supervisory authority by serving as Acting General Counsel in the absence of the General Counsel, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer;(2) to oversee, manage and report on the organization\'s robust holistic enterprise risk management function designed to identify and monitor existing risks and proactively identify emerging risks in alignment with the organization\'s strategic goals and objectives;(3) serve as the chief legal advisor and/or supporting legal advisor to select Board committee(s);(4) monitor the organization’s compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;(5) support the General Counsel with maintaining trademark registrations on a worldwide basis as well as negotiating and overseeing compliance with licenses to use the United Way marks;(6) advising on legal aspects of structuring nonprofit collaborations and related business entities on a worldwide basis;(7) litigation management;(8) coordinate OGC office organization and staffing; and (9) establish and maintain relationships characterized by trust and confidence with clients at the highest levels of the organization.
