ABOUT KEATON AVERY BENNETT
I’m a Media Production, Management, and Technology major on the Digital Film and Television track at the University of Florida, driven by a lifelong passion for storytelling, screenwriting, and visual media. Since seventh grade, I’ve been co-writing an original one-season series, and this past summer, I had the privilege of bringing its pilot episode to life—filming, producing, and starring in it. Watching this idea evolve into a real-world production experience has been incredibly rewarding and deepened my love for creative collaboration.So far, I’ve co-written two series screenplays—one developed at UF and another as an independent project. I also wrote an original short film, Linked, which was selected for production by Chompics Productions, a student-run film organization at UF where I am actively involved. Currently, I’m a staff writer in a writers’ room, where I continue to refine my craft and work alongside other creatives to bring stories to life.Beyond film, I’m dedicated to leadership and community. I was selected as one of 50 students for UF’s Freshman Leadership Experience cohort and serve as an Assistant Director for the UF Cabinet of Student Affairs, helping to lead initiatives that strengthen and support the student community.I’m always eager to grow creatively and collaborate with others who share my passion for film, media, and storytelling.
