About Kevin Tynes
I am a Machine Learning PhD student in the School of Computational Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My research is driven by the belief that machine learning can fundamentally transform how we understand and design physical systems that solve critical global challenges. I develop computational frameworks for spatial data analysis, molecular representation learning, and materials informatics that scale across scientific disciplines. My portfolio of work spans renewable energy, environmental sustainability, and biomedical systems. Before joining Georgia Tech, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.Upon completion of my doctoral degree, I am interested in exploring postdoctoral opportunities to continue advancing research at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and molecular and materials science.
