About Kunal Bhide
I completed my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering during which I worked on design and manufacturing of All-terrain vehicle for BAJA SAE India. This project gave me complete insights of how designing and manufacturing is conducted and challenges involved. After completion of my under graduation I worked for Horizon Chutes Pvt. Ltd, a company manufacturing garbage, linen chutes and fire doors for nearly one year. I gained hands on experience of many different shop floor processing techniques related to sheet metal. Thirst of learning more made me to pursue Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering focused in Lean manufacturing. During my Masters I worked as GA on AHRQ grant which is a project in the field of Healthcare. I was also provided with a massive opportunity to work as an Intern at Tesla. in process team. I worked on many projects during my internship tenure regarding process / cycle time / yield improvements. Working with different teams to solve issues provided me the best exposure I can get.From my internship and exposure to the manufacturing world I decided to take course work which will improve my Quality, Cost Analysis & Statistics skills. I took relative courses as I intended and also got my six sigma certificate. In 2017, I completed my Masters in Industrial Engineering with 3.9 GPA. After finishing my Masters, I was back to Tesla in same team but with bigger responsibility as an Associate Process Engineer on Drive unit line. With increasing experience my qualities improved regarding project management & prioritization and along with that bigger responsibility was provided. Now, I am a Process Engineer supporting 6 different lines.The work load at Tesla is definitely keeping me busy but thirst of growth in engineering sector is what keeping me to explore opportunities that are available around me.
