I provide consulting services for technology startups who participate in federal Small Business Innovation Research and Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) grant or seed-funding programs. Since 2010, 31 clients of Arkansas\' SBDC under the FAST grant (the federal grant that I work under) have won SBIR/STTR awards totaling more than $40 million. SBIR funding is an important source of non-dilutive funding for startups in the R&D space, helping researchers and community-based entrepreneurs de-risk their science-backed innovations prior to market launch. While SBIR/STTR remains in limbo, awaiting what we hope will be reauthorization by Congress, we continue to work with clients to seek non-dilutive funding outside the SBIR program. My focus continues to be putting Arkansas\' technology entrepreneurs on the map in the very competitive U.S. tech and tech funding space!
