A seasoned financial expert with 31 years at the Reserve Bank of India. Retired as Chief General Manager in February 2025. Held many leadership roles, including Regional Director for Uttar Pradesh, Banking Ombudsman for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karnataka, and heading the Central Fraud Monitoring Cell. With expertise in banking regulation & supervision, financial policy, AML, forensic, risk management, and public debt management, I have conducted on-site examinations of Indian and global banks. Prior to RBI, I spent six years in a commercial bank. Possess domain knowledge in transaction banking, payment system and rural/retail credit. Also had brief stint with corporate sector with exposure to costing and auditing. I am a Fulbright Fellow and Diamond Jubilee Overseas Research Fellow, spending 9 months in the USA/Europe. I have served as a Visiting Professor at IIM Kozhikode, where I taught a 20-hour course on Bank Management for four years.
