I translate health policy trends and population data into strategic insights for professionals and decision-makers in the MetroWest area. My work empowers nonprofit and government agencies to make community-focused decisions towards a healthier, more equitable region. My current project is the MetroWest Health Equity Timeline (#MetroWestHET). The timeline is a community resource for education and advocacy. I research local history and emphasize the equity implications of past legislation, social movements, and other shifts in power. I oversee an intern to assist in community interviews, giving presentations, and developing a social media campaign.I also- Analyze community-level health and demographic data for 25 municipalities in MetroWest; present findings and summary statistics in user-friendly Tableau dashboards (utilizing R coding skills)- Author timely reports to document health-related issues, explain impact on the region, and provide policy recommendations. My portfolio includes \"When Care Isn\'t There,\" a report on the human service workforce crisis,\"Understanding Economic Insecurity in MetroWest,\" and most recently,\"Shut Out: Understanding the Affordable Housing Crisis in MetroWest\"- Publish monthly \"Policy Watch\" updates that untangle and summarize health policy conversations- Participate in and provide recommendations in the grant review cycle (twice annually)- Contribute critical thinking and presentation skills to community coalitions- Led a regional Community Health Assessment with a careful eye towards equitable data gathering and reporting. I managed a team to conduct qualitative data collection and synthesizing findings and secondary data into a report- Developed and implemented a health data users group for the region; collaborate with the steering committee to design professional development workshops on topics chosen by the community
