ABOUT KAYSHIA WASHINGTON
Kayshia Washington, the CEO of KayD Entertainment, created her media business in 2013 to spotlight the people in her community. “A lot of men and women entrepreneurs are building their brands in Youngstown, and they need a place to go to help showcase their brands. This is why KayD Entertainment was created,” says Kayshia Washington. She has shined the light on numerous entrepreneurs in her community through her internet radio show, her community magazine, on her social media pages, and more. Kayshia created her business to focus on adult entertainment i.e. DJ parties, internet radio show, and her community magazine. Soon she realized her afterschool program, and her youth DJ class were in demand. She has focused KayD Entertainment to the youth and young entrepreneurs (9-35) who are looking to find ways to promote their business. Kayshia’s goal for KayD Entertainment is to share her knowledge with as many youth in her community. In the future, she plans to expand her business and programs to the youth in other cities and states. Kayshia is a college graduate. She has returned back to school to study Public Relations at Full Sail University. She has an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies-Media Track from Youngstown State University. She also graduated from The Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Cleveland, Ohio where she received her Diploma in Broadcasting in September 2012.
