ABOUT KAYLIE KOOCHOF
Hello, my name is Kaylie and I am a psychology student minoring in biomedical ethics! I am currently working toward a career in pediatric nursing—a path that combines my passion for healthcare with my lifelong commitment to supporting children and families. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in a variety of roles, including preschool assistant, camp counselor, and respite caregiver, all of which have shaped my ability to connect with kids and care for them with empathy and patience. Volunteering at Rady Children’s Hospital has further confirmed my desire to become a nurse who not only provides excellent clinical care but also understands the emotional and developmental needs of young patients. This has sparked a deep interest in how ethics, child development, and family-centered care come together to shape meaningful, holistic healthcare experiences. As I continue building my education and experience, I’m excited to grow into a nurse who advocates fiercely for her patients and brings both compassion and clarity to every interaction.
