ABOUT KAYLE LIAO

I\'m a recent grad from the University of Notre Dame, with double majors in Honors Economics and Political Science. I\'m passionate about studying how the public sector affects the financial markets with an emphasis on the political economy. In fall 2021, I spent a semester in DC, taking political science classes in the capital city while interning at an impact investing nonprofit, which serves the population in poverty in underdeveloped countries. Interested in working in impact investing in the long run, I\'m driven by the mission of serving the underserved population and maximizing the impact of capital on development issues in emerging markets. I have prior professional experience in Management Consulting, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Sales & Trading, and Startups. Bilingual in English and Mandarin, I also take pride in my knowledge on the China Venture market, the Chinese currency RMB, and the state of political economy in the broader East Asian context. My most valuable assets are my interpersonal skills, holistic understanding of different cultures, and entrepreneurial drive. I attended a high school that had students from over 100 countries around the world where I overcame cultural barriers, resolved disagreements, and developed cross-cultural leadership. My high school has made me a global citizen who always seeks to embrace differences and collaborates with diverse personalities for the common good of the world.
