Reassigning from Sr. Case Manager (Health Worker 3)- end date 3/17/2023, to Activities Therapist (Health Worker 3)- start date 3/18/2023Provides residents with specially-tailored activities designed to provide satisfying opportunities for leisure and learning. Help residents succeed, express themselves, and enhance their self-esteem through activities that are within the range of Music, Outings, Aquatics, Animal-assisted therapy, Horticulture, Arts and Crafts, Sports, Exercise, Spiritual Care, Games, Expressive Arts.Each activity is designed to recognize residents’ individual and cultural uniqueness and promote their independence and integration. Work closely with nurses, doctors, dieticians, social workers, and other members of the team of professionals who participate with each resident and their family to design an individualized care plan. Activity therapists get to know each resident and to understand their likes and dislikes. Based on a comprehensive assessment, they design a program of activities that engage each individual intellectually, physically, and socially to enhance their health and life.Provides interventions and facilitates leisure opportunities residents 1:1 and in small and large groups.Collaborates with fellow Activity Therapy staff members in the implementation of neighborhood or/and hospital wide activities. Create and run hospital wide activities/events and including checking in the hospital\'s residentsMentor staff including supervisors in learning the department, how to learn and run a unit, and do documentation. Prepares and maintains activities calendars and other activity related schedules.
