I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a focus on Psychiatric and Mental Health, driven by a deep passion to improve access to compassionate, high-quality care for all, especially marginalized communities. My mission is to create and implement community-based programs that focus on prevention, maintenance, and empowerment, helping individuals take control of their own mental health and well-being.In my work, I am committed to making healthcare more accessible to those who need it most by utilizing sliding scales, mutual aid, and other resources to eliminate financial barriers to care. I believe in meeting patients where they are, offering holistic care that acknowledges their cultural, spiritual, and emotional needs. As I continue my journey, I aim to integrate complementary services and alternative therapies to ensure that my approach is inclusive and truly supportive of each individual.I am especially passionate about working with underserved populations, ensuring that they have the tools, knowledge, and resources to advocate for their own health. In the future, I plan to work with after-school programs, teaching children coping skills, life skills, budgeting, and resilience, giving them the foundation to thrive in an often challenging world.With a strong foundation in nursing practice, a commitment to patient advocacy, and a heart dedicated to making a lasting difference, I strive to be an agent of change in healthcare, creating opportunities for marginalized voices and improving mental health care across the continuum.
