ABOUT KAYLA TON
Hello! I am a recent graduate of UCSD with a bachelors in Clinical Psychology with a minor in studio art. Most of my experience is directly giving back to my community in many ways. I have 6 years of office assistant experience and working with children in the City of Ontario\'s recreation department. I have created an art curriculum for the art camps with the City of Ontario. I have volunteered for food pantries and taught art programs at Unidos Por La Musica. I currently work for the Office for Students with Disabilities at UCSD as an office assistant. I truly love giving back to my community and helping others in need. I have great experience working with many people of all different ages, backgrounds, and needs. I am creative, dedicated, smart, responsible, respecting, hardworking, and empathetic. I take pride in all of the things I unlisted job experience of mine was officially opening up a cake small business at the pandemic when we were all sent to take classes from home (March 2020). There were many reasons why I did so, including my single mom on the brink of losing our home and struggling to pay bills. With little to nothing to my name, I began to bake and grow as an individual. I have gained great management and customer service skills (budgeting, keeping track of finances, time managing) running a business by myself. It was extremely hard to do so while being a full time student, taking care of my younger sisters, having responsibilities at home and working a part time job, just so my family had a roof over our heads. Even when I did not have much, I would have bake sales to raise money to give back to my community such as Black Lives Matter IE and Advancing Justice - LA. I am so dedicated to my goals when I set them. Through such hardships and having so many difficulties thrown at me at the same time, I managed to bring smiles to so many faces and be apart of so many memories.
