ABOUT KAYLA REFFELT
I am a rising senior Wildlife Biology major at the University of Rhode Island, striving for a Bachelor of Science degree. I hold minors in Animal Science and Landscape Architecture, specifically focused on intersecting the two by means of sustainable development. I am knowledgeable about design certification systems, including LEED and BREEAM. I have worked as a wildlife rehabilitator, a research analyst on affordable, renewable energy for Cimate Action Rhode Island, and a communications assistant for a nuclear nonprofit. I am a part of URI’s Peace Corps Preparatory Program and Student Senate. My multidisciplinary background has prepared me to pursue an environmental career path with specific interests in wildlife conservation and biophilic design.
