About Kayla Cichy

I’m a driven accounting student with a passion for audit and assurance services. I’m currently pursuing a BBA at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with an expected graduation date of May 2027. I plan to continue my education with an MS in Accounting and Business Analytics the following academic year and will be CPA eligible by May 2028.I entered UW-Madison as an Operations & Technology Management major, which inspired me to join Women in Business Technology. Through this experience, I participated in a Chicago Trek where we visited companies including Capital One, Baker Tilly, and United Airlines. These visits expanded my knowledge on the various industries that exist within the broad scope of business and introduced me to the diverse accounting field.Additionally, my involvement in the Theta Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta has allowed me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping me better understand team dynamics and organizational culture—essential skills in any corporate setting.By participating in summer office visits and speaking with experienced accountants, I’ve gained clarity and confidence in my decision to pursue the CPA path. I look forward to the courses, projects, and professional experiences ahead that will further develop my expertise in accounting. I’m excited to explore internship and career opportunities where I can apply my skills and contribute meaningfully.
